Âvâz pieces in this album are mainly based on âvâz-e Bayât-e Esfahân by one of the most prominent singers of the late Qajar era, Seyyed Hoseyn Tâherzâde. Chahârpâre piece is based on Gholâm-Hoseyn Bigjekhâni’s performance (in Hâfeziye), and Masnavi-e Darvish Hasan piece is a personal rendering of Shajariân’s interpretation. And Finally, Reng-e Bayât-e Esfahân is based on Mortezâ Neydâvud’s performance, accompanied by Musâ Neydâvud on kamânche.
Born in 1985, Tehran, Shahâbeddin Âzinmehr has a Bachelor’s degree in Restoration of Historical Monuments and a Master’s in Persian Music Performance. He entered the realm of music through singing, and later began learning to play the târ and setâr, as well. Mohammad Musavi, Dâriush Talâ’i, Mas’ud Sho’âri, Behruz Hemmati and Rezâ Parvizzâde were some of the masters he studied under.
He has performed in several concerts and albums as an accompanying instrumentalist. His first individual album, Showq-e Mastur, is a setâr solo performance.
